Name : Confectionery of Zarema and Iman

Zarema Atchishvili and Iman Margoshvili live in Pankisi, in the village of Birkiani. They always wanted to start additional activities and have their own income. That is why the girls participated in the Women`s Economic Empowerment project supported by UN Women.

With the help of the project, the girls opened a confectionery, where they offer a variety of choices to customers: various salads, cakes, dishes, bakery, etc. They also have tourists as their customers.

Girls are always focused on customer satisfaction and quality service. In the future they also think about the development of their business.

The project “Women’s Economic Empowerment through Social Mobilization and Capacity Building” is supported by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), implemented in Georgia by Kakheti Regional Development Foundation (KRDF), Taso Foundation (TF), and CARE International in the Caucasus (CARE).
