Name : Persimmon

Cooperative "Persimmon" was founded in 2016 in the village of Gejeti, Senaki Municipality. It is a member of the Cooperatives Fund and consists of 5 local farmers, including 2 women. The main activity of "Persimmon" is the cultivation of strawberry, hazelnut, subtropical and local vines, as well as greenhouse development.

Currently the cooperative has Italian (Amiga, Marisoli and Caparro) and local strawberries on 6000 sq.m.  Also a hazelnut on 5000 sq.m. from which the members of the cooperative periodically harvest 1.5 to 2 tons of hazelnuts. In addition, there is a persimmon garden on 6500 sq.m. The cooperative has started to arrange a greenhouse on 450 sq.m. where it is planned to grow up to 10 tons of tomatoes and sweet peppers.

In the future, the members of the cooperative want to develop again and increase production. In addition, they are focused on the production and sale of natural products and want to employ as many locals as possible.
